Good afternoon all,

This semester for Service as Action, our grade 10 students are engaging with the idea that research can lead to positive change in our communities. The grade is tasked with researching unique topics in connection with their IDU in IAS and English in order to understand how systems are a result of different points of views that impact fairness and development in communities. In specific, there are six groups investigating the following topics: social security, poverty, female empowerment, child labor, mental illness, and homelessness.

As part of their research, the students have designed surveys and are collecting data on the community’s perspectives on these issues.  We would sincerely appreciate it if you completed these surveys and shared with your networks. This will help the students gather more diverse, and therefore valid, data.

Social Security

Female Empowerment

Child Labor

Mental Illness

The students will be presenting their findings and action plans at a Community Forum to be held in the library on November 7th from 2:30-4:00. All are welcome to attend this forum.

Thank you for your time.
